Distribution of 15 million free chocolate eggs to Belgian hospitals and retirement homes

The week before Easter, almost 15 million small Easter eggs, pralines, biscuits, gingerbread and confectionery products were offered by Belgian chocolate, biscuit and sugar confectionery companies to hospitals children’s homes and retirement homes.

In the face of the COVID-19 crisis, many Belgians experienced the Easter period very differently this year. The Belgian chocolate makers, for whom Easter is traditionally a very busy period, wanted to bring some light and pleasure to those who are having the most difficulties at the moment and to those who work day and night for their fellow man.

The Easter sweets came from the great chocolate makers as well as small and medium-sized artisan chocolate makers.

Chocolate has always been a product that pleases and delights young and old, especially in difficult times.
